No queues to visit a church where you walk with your hands behind your back, and no photos of food on menus. This is real Spain. A place where you can still buy a tapa for €2.50 and no one looks at you strangely if you order a third bottle before the main course.
Jerez is the toughest, rawest part of Andalusia. Nestled between mountains and Windows XP-like landscapes, just an hour south of Seville, you’ll find hundreds of bodegas. You never pay more than €2 for a glass of wine or sherry, flamenco is danced on every street corner, and it’s warm—literally and figuratively.

From our hotel, you can easily explore the rest of Andalusia. In just 20 minutes, you’ll be on the beach (Costa de la Luz—hello, white sand!), 25 minutes in Cádiz (a colorful port city with rugged charm), and an hour away in Seville (perfect if you feel like getting lost in urban splendor). There are also plenty of natural areas nearby for the more adventurous guests among us—from hiking to horseback riding on the beach, mountain biking, and even paragliding. Let’s go!
